Put DanceMate on your device

Add it to your phone, tablet or computer and it opens with one tap — just like any other app, always in the right place.

1 Open your school

Start here so the app remembers your school. Everything below is done from this page once it opens.

Opens in a new tab so you can keep these steps handy.

2 Add it to your device

iPhone & iPad

Use Safari for this (it's the only browser on iPhone that can add apps).

  1. Open your school with the Open my school button above.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow, at the bottom of the screen (or top on an iPad).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top corner. The DanceMate icon appears on your home screen.

Android

These steps use Chrome — most Android phones open links in it.

  1. Open your school with the Open my school button above.
  2. Tap the menu (three dots, top right).
  3. Tap Install app — or Add to Home screen if you see that instead.
  4. Tap Install to confirm. DanceMate lands on your home screen.

Windows PC

Works in Chrome or Edge.

  1. Open your school with the Open my school button above.
  2. Look at the right-hand end of the address bar for the install icon and click it. (No icon? Open the ⋯ menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.)
  3. Click Install. DanceMate opens in its own window.
  4. Pin it: right-click the DanceMate icon on your taskbar and choose Pin to taskbar — now it's always one click away.

Mac

These steps use Safari (macOS Sonoma or later). Using Chrome? See the note below.

  1. Open your school with the Open my school button above.
  2. In the menu bar at the top, click File, then Add to Dock…
  3. Click Add. DanceMate appears in your Dock, ready whenever you need it.
  4. In Chrome instead? Click the install icon in the address bar, then right-click the new Dock icon → Options → Keep in Dock.
Why bother? Installed, DanceMate opens in its own clean window with no address bar, remembers your school, and works even when the wifi drops — so registers and exam sheets keep going.
